Class Assignments
January 31 - February 4
Word Study: We will be working on the various long a patterns and sounds. I will be sending a homework packet and word list home on Monday.
Writer's Workshop: We will be learning to write diamante poems this week.
Reading Workshop: We will be reading this week. In small groups we will be working on making connections, asking good questions, and visualization. We will also continue to work on fluency and comprehension.
Math: We are going to be working on basic division this week. We will also continue to have timed multiplication tests, but I will start sending them home. We will also be working on multiplication/division fact families.
Social Studies: We are going to be taking a tour around Arkansas. We will start in the Ozark region. We will be keeping a notebook that will be the final grade for this project.
